ABOUT ME

Greg Levinsky – At a Glance

By day, I'm a marketing content specialist. By night, I'm a freelance sports media creator.

In my career, my byline has appeared so far in some of the most distinguished media brands in the country, such as USA Today, The Boston Globe and Detroit Free Press. Today, my writing contributions help drive results at FactSet, a leading B2B SAAS platform used by the world's largest financial firms.

I started writing professionally at my local newspaper while in high school. From there, I picked up bylines at publications across the country, including the Boston Globe, Detroit Free Press and USA Today — all while still a student at Boston University. After starting my postgraduate career as a full-time reporter at the Morning Sentinel, where I won six Maine Press Association Awards for my year of work, I pivoted to a new challenge with WEX Inc. in a hybrid content and product marketing role.

At WEX, I realized the power of brand storytelling. I conceptualized and wrote content like blogs, press releases, and sales enablement materials. My daily responsibilities also included crafting persuasive RFP responses for some of our largest potential accounts.

My work at FactSet is similar, although I've seized more opportunity to serve as a content strategist as much as I am a creator. Working on the burgeoning Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) side of the house allows me to flex my creative content delivery and creation skills while helping chart the direction for the company's external marketing content.

I continue my journalistic storytelling skills on the side, writing a regular sports column for the Portland Phoenix, taking the occasional assignment for The Boston Globe and using my entrepreneurial spirit for additional freelance work.
